The Shrine of the Golden Book

The Monastery of the Golden Book is a short one-shot adventure, written for the Knave 2e Game Jam during September-October 2024.  It is for low-level characters, levels 1-3.  

The random prompts I used for inspiration are:

Stony basalt columns, pheromones nearby, current event: ash cloud

Living treasure vault dungeon, smoke

Hunting lodge with vermin swarms and graffitis

Nesting trap, uses a pneumatics and a pendulum.

Slug/Crow-like creature, healing aura, tactic: harry

Oversized intoxicating deed

Vivian Cromman, a over-cautious abbot, missing finger, religious enemy, employee of another character, goal: serve evil, currently surrendering

Popular heist crew faction, symbol: mask, worships the god of swamps and mazes, mission: defraud npc

Also, I recently finished reading The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco.  While I didn’t use -all- of the prompts, I did try to take something from every category.
